The Story:

Beatrice has a Dream … she wants to be a bus driver,
so she can drive away from everything she doesn’t like.
At school she’s bullied and has no friends.At home her
brother calls her Annoying, Ugly Fly, and her parents
think she has too much imagination. Beatrice writes a
long list of dreams. Another dream is about meeting
a ‘talking London Bus’. When she makes a new friend
at school called Mark, things change for the better.
He gives her a special birthday gift: a model of an
ancient London Bus – a Routemaster Bus she once saw
in a shop window. Beatrice is thrilled…..

Dress like Beatrice and the London Bus on

Following the success of the Beatrice and the London Bus drawing competition (October 2016), for the World Book Day and Week, London meets its children launches a new  London-themed competition open to schools (SK1, SK2, SK3), titled Dress like Beatrice and the London Bus (and the London Eye too!) rewarding the best costumes with amazing prizes sponsored by Coca-Cola London Eye, KidZania, The Classic Tour and Daily Fairy Tales. Pictures of children dressing up like the Beatrice, The London Bus or the London Eye character need to be send competitions@dailyfairytales.co.uk by the 10th of March 2017. Parents can send pictures of their children too who will represent their class. Prizes are a capsule for 30 children (one class) plus 4 mentors on the London Eye, a Visit for a group of 30 to KiDzania London, a Bus tour guide for 30 children plus mentor on the Classic Tour, Thirty Beatrice and the London Bus maps for the winning class and a copy of the Beatrice and the London Bus book series for the school’s library. Children can enter pics of their costumes individually too and claim the prize for their class if their costumes is selected.
